Biography

Alice DeLamar was the daughter and heiress of Joseph Raphael De Lamar, considered one of the wealthiest single women in the earliest 20th century following her father's death. A patron of the arts, DeLamar donated significantly to artists, musicians, and architects, and was a close friend of Addison Mizner, financing the publication of Florida Architecture of Addison Mizner. Owner of an estate built by Addison Mizner along S. Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, Florida, and the estate Stonebrook in Weston, Connectict.
