Scope and Contents
Material in series likely compiled by Alexandra Fatio Taylor for the publication of the Fatio monograph, as well as the processing of the Maurice Fatio Collection held at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. Ephemera contains associated notes handwritten by Alexandra Fatio Taylor providing context for the materials. Materials are mostly photocopies or copies of original documents and ephemera. Also included are academic writings from multiple authors on the work of Maurice Fatio, including papers, theses, and presentation. Presentation material also includes color slide transparancies. Also contained in this series is correspondence between Alexandra Fatio Taylor and multiple institutions regarding the location and status of materials from Maurice Fatio, as well as information regarding the monograph on Fatio that Taylor was planning on publishing.
Ephemera includes Maurice Fatio's Ecole Des Beaux-Arts Transcript 1915-1916, a Jupiter Rex Certificate awarded to Maurice Fatio for flying Pan-Am from Miami to Buenos Aires, a postcard of the White Star Line ship the S.S. Majestic, and a clipping of Fatio's Roadster. Also contains correspondence and newspaper clippings from Guilluame Fatio, Maurice Fatio's father, correspondence from Andre Fatio, Maurice Fatio's brother, to his parents regarding travel involving both brothers, and correspondence to and from Maurice Fatio regarding both business and personal matters. Writings from Eleanor Chase Fatio, wife of Maurice Fatio, include published poems, magazine articles, correspondence, and an account of the death of Maurice Fatio from 1943.
