The Towers, originally located at 548 North County Road, was the home of William M. Wood. Designed by architect Addison Mizner in 1923, the residence later became the home of Atwater Kent, the famous radio mogul, who sold it to railroad tycoon Robert R. Young. The Towers hosted the Duke and Duchess of Windsor several times before it was demolished in 1964.
