Scope and Contents

The Town of Palm Beach Architectural Collection contains plat maps/aerials, original architectural drawings, blueprints, and copies of drawings marked as "office copy" or "inspection copy." Materials were used in entitites contained within the Town of Palm Beach, including the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) and Architectural Commission (ARCOM). Buildings represented within collection include private residences, commercial structures, clubs, hotels, and apartment/condominium buildings. All drawings within collection are for buildings within the Town of Palm Beach limits.

Arrangement

Collection is arranged in two (2) series, based on accession. Series 1: 2024.TOPB, contains architectural drawings received from the Town of Palm Beach in 2024, and Series 2: 2025.TOPB, contains architectural drawings received from the Town of Palm Beach in 2025. Series are arranged by accession to preserve original order of materials.

Existence and Location of Originals

Materials in collection are blueprints and copies of architectural drawings. Original drawings by architects within institutional collections are found within the John L. Volk Collection, Belford Shoumate Collection, and Marion Sims Wyeth Collection. Original drawings by architectural firm Treanor & Fatio are found in the collections of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County (accession 83/9-4/143).
